Thirteenth Annual Workshop

Habitat Conservation Planning from Tahoe to the Bay

November 18, 2015, Ulatis Community Center, Vacaville

WORKSHOP PRESENTATIONS AVAILABLE

The Conservation Planning Partners is an ad-hoc association of eight County and Sub-county scale Habitat Conservation Plans and Natural Community Conservation Plans. Participants are the local agency staff in charge of the preparation of these plans. The Institute for Ecological Health, a non-profit organization, coordinates the group.

The Conservation Planning Partners has now broadened its activities to a number of additional topics.

  • Discussions by a sub-group with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other agencies, leading to agreement on ways to achieve regional Section 404, Clean Water Act permitting in conjunction with regional conservation plans.
  • Provided a venue for discussions among ourselves and with the wildlife agencies about conservation planning matters of common interest.
  • Beginning the preparation of a multi-year strategy and plan to bring additional conservation dollars into our region for habitat acquisition in support of regional conservation plan implementation.
